Licence Verification
Before you open an account, take two minutes to confirm the bookmaker is legally licensed in Australia. Here is how.
Why It Matters
Licensed Australian bookmakers must follow strict rules on identity checks, customer funds, advertising and responsible gambling. Unlicensed offshore sites offer none of these protections, and you may have no way to recover your money if something goes wrong.
How to Check a Licence
- Scroll to the site footer. Licensed bookmakers display the name of their licensing regulator and their licence details.
- Check the regulator's register. Search the operator's name on the official website of the regulator listed.
- Confirm the business details match. The company name and ABN on the betting site should match the register.
- Look for BetStop. Every licensed online wagering provider must be connected to BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register.
- Check ACMA's blocked list. The Australian Communications and Media Authority publishes a list of illegal gambling sites it has blocked.

Our Checks
